Center Based Pre-school Classroom Learning
Classes for 3 & 4 year olds
Arizona DES Certified Childcare Provider
Our stellar Lion Cubs Pre-school uses the Creative Curriculum®, a forward-thinking, comprehensive, research-based set of resources, with proven results in the field. This program improves preschool teacher effectiveness, honors their creativity and respects their critical role in crafting exciting and relevant learning experiences for every child.
Robust & Engaging Lesson Plans
This year we are introducing new, more robust subject matters: Science and Technology, Social Studies & the Arts. These more focused subjects of study introduce children to creative problem solving and the scientific method. With the use of technology and scientific processes, children develop and test hypotheses to gain a new understanding of the world we share and the people with whom we share it.
Special Needs Programs
Our preschool program provides for all children, including those with disabilities and unique learning needs. Modifications are made in the environment and staffing patterns in order to include children with special needs. Our specialists identify the specific needs of individual children and our staff is trained to follow through on specific intervention plans. It is our belief that inclusion in our program will enrich the experience for teachers, students, other children and their families.
Measurements & Accountability
Our new Objectives for Development & Learning® and the GOLD® assessment system enable our teachers to observe and monitor our students’ progress through the entirety of early childhood development, growth and learning.
The GOLD® assessment is aligned to the Arizona Early Learning Standards.
We guide our Lion Cubs Preschool Students on local adventures for the purpose of intellectual and creative exploration, immersive learning, hands-on experience, discovery, and inspiration.
Free Family Style Dining
Free for families that qualify.
Affordable for all other families.
Because a significant number of our students are not always sure from where their next meal will come, Georgia Day Café has secured funding to provide free food all year on campus for those in need through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).
